Firefox 3.0 -

Does any one else have the problem with firefox 3 that it is just really slow when starting up when it is first used from boot or has not been used in a while?

i have to end up waiting like 20 -30 seconds on all the computers i have it on!

i mean i noticed it when i first got the update and it is really bugging me,


i recently downloaded the IE8 beta and it is A LOT better than before and when it gets released fully i think i am actually going to use it since it has some great new features and doesnt take ages to start!


anyway, any one else notice this firefox issuse?

Nope loads up in under 2 seconds every time.

Maybe a add-on that your using.

im not using any addons - hope they do fix it soon - also is there any actual way to make the bookmark toolbar bigger into say 2 lines because i have so many links and feeds there they all go off the edge and i just cant seem to extend!

i only got a 1280x1024 screen and most of my links have been worded into like less than 5 words anyway lol - a bigger screen is what i need i guess lol

As for the slow startup, try a new profile. It's almost certainly an issue at your end, unless you have loads (i.e. thousands, in which case use a proper RSS reader) of feeds. "They" won't fix it unless there's a reproducable bug to fix...

I've got a relatively slow PC running XP SP2 and it starts in about 5 seconds cold and 2 seconds thereafter. You've got the problem not FF....
