Is anyone experiencing painfully slow download times? I've got all the relevant ports open but I'm getting on average 45kbps!!! And it keeps dropping connection :mad:
 
My gf is having loads of trouble with hers.

I opened all the ports and everything, it says it can't connect but strangely the folder it's supposed to be sving files into have like 8Gb of files already.

Very strange
 
Yeah, something is wrong there. I just resumed mine to download as much as I can before traffic management comes into effect at 01:00 and I am getting 1500 kb/s.

might pre-order now from d2d altho im on holiday the few days before release and not back till the weekend :(
 
Really tempted to order this from D2D to get access to the beta, but think I'm gonna hold out for the retail version as I think with games like this it's really nice to have a manual to refer to until you become familiar with the game.
 
Anyone else having problems using visa debit cards to preorder on D2D? It tells me to contact customer service for 'additional verification' and then they don't reply:mad: ARGH!

Yeah I had the exact same issue. I had to use a Mastercard in the end. :(

that goa downloader really is rubbish.

whoever programmed it doesnt have a clue it doesnt apear to have a max number of open connections limit so you end up with your router beeing spammed by about 10k connections :S

i know for a fact my router can handle 2000 connections on a torrent because ive tested it before but with goas downloader my internet completly stopped working apart from goas downloader using around 200kb/s down and 90kb/s upload.

i couldnt even get my routers page to load :rolleyes:

i left it downloading over night anyway and when i woke up it had got stuck on 90%, every kb of my memory was in use and my pagefile was completly maxed out so i can only assume goas downloader also has a memory leak :rolleyes:

thank god someone ripped the torrent info from there downloader.
 
Open doesnt start till sunday the 7th, give it atleast till Thurs before buying a digital version imo. I was going to go down the same route but then i realized that all i would be doing it for is to learn about the classes but i already know about them from Vids and guides. So i would rather the 'newness' feel of the game to be a one time experience with the classes i will roll and not doing them again on release.

Then i was thinking i want the game for the headstart but then i thought that just implies its a race, why do i want to rush something ? This is a game i want to be playing for years to come, whats the big deal of a few days :P . So if we are not able to preorder a boxed version of the game with the headstart, hey there will be plenty in the shops come launch day.

Soz about the whaffle, just thought id share my slightly different slant on how things stand :)
