**SPORE**

Absolutely loved it...up until the civilization stage. The other stages were brilliant, but I turned it off after playing the civilization stage for 20 minutes. I don't like how you can't control creatures there, just boring vehicles. :(
 
Meh, i assumed this would be a let down and from the majority of posts here it looks like my assumptions were correct.

I'm not going to trust any reviews i see after what happened with GTA4, so this game has become a pass for me.

I don't disagree but this game has received hype bordering on the level that big console games seem to achieve so I wouldn't be surprised if reviewers jumped on the wagon for this title too. I condemned this game as rubbish many months ago however, i didn't even bother to download it so no one should take my view into account, I'm the first to admit I'm biased.
 
From the IGN review it sounds like the civilization stage is a bit cack, but the space stage more than makes up for it. I'll be buying it on Friday.
 
got to say the game is great up to the Tribal stage then sort of becomes to more of a chore to play, The whole creature creator spore thing was done well but don't really like controlling a tribe and giving them their orders in this game as other games do it so much better. It sort of becomes something that isn't how the game started about and is being advertised as.
 
Eurogamer gives it 9/10.

This game has been hyped and promised MEGA things. As far as I can see, the reviews suggest that it delivers?

I have the creature creator and I am really looking forward to this. Doesn't it come out Sunday the 7th? How are people playing it?
 
Well I spent an hour on this last night, seems interesting enough.

I am lost as to how to make the first stage progress, my silly creature will not swim fast enough to catch the smaller creatures and there is a distinct lack of that pink stuff to collect :(

I think I need to modify how he looks as it's just a long thin silly looking thing with two eyes on stalks lol. Need to make him look mean.

Looking forward to getting to the space stage though.

Doesn't run too badly on my old laptop either.
 
Some people have it on pre-order and have had it delivered early. Then some people have looked in the dark corners of the internet ;)

But that's ok though as all those people who stole it are either "testing" the game, or will go out and buy a legitimate copy immediately on release... ;)
