20" Widescreen Gaming Monitor

i use the preset, "internet" setting for most things which i thing takes the brightness down to 35%. Shame u cant adjust the contrast independently tho

Got it today, really like it though it can look a little washed out in comparison to the other Samsung screen I have sitting next to it.....

I've got brightness setting on 70 and contrast on 65 at the moment.

These were the settings that gave me the best results at http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/.

I noticed that if you put the brightness below say 70% you get an electric noise coming from the TFT!! A whining noise. Anyone else have this? Try putting your ear close to the screen!!

I could hear it from my chair!! I put brightness to 85% and no noise.

Also, my mate likes my 2053BW but was looking at the 2043BW. People say the 2043BW is newer than the one i have. Is that right? He wants one of those because of the height adjustment and swivel.

Anyone?

Nope, not on mine....

It really is a great screen.

I plugged my xbox 360 into it earlier, set it to 1280x720 and this screen scales that picture so well you can barely tell it isn't running at native. I like the way it doesn't mess about with aspect ratios either, so there are small black borders when running at the above resolution (but these are barely visible if you sit a bit away from the screen).

Have you tried putting your ear close to the TFT? Mine does make a noise when the brightness is put below say 70%. I have heard others say the same elsewhere! Not just the Samsungs though.
