Amir Khan vs Briedis Prescott

Who on earth is going to spend £15 again to see Kahn fight on TV, surely they will have to put it on Sky Sports or drop it to a few pound.
 
lol, he got owned. Sky must be so gutted, be funny if he loses the next one. They must have a clause that he has to win 5 fights in a row or something
 
all I can say is gutted and a shame I didn't get to see it live.

Can't say I'm happy to see him get beat, but it's not a surprise at all. I think every single boxing fan on here has at some point acknowledged that Kahn has no chin whatsoever, so while it's not a surprise, it's still dissapointing.
 
Poor sod Amir. Should have kept his distance but I guess he knew deep down, Prescott was a better boxer. I felt those punches. :(
 
:/ Warrens fault, putting him with C class fighters for so long and telling him he is the best. I feel sorry for him, against Hatton he would not have a leg to stand on.
 
Khan, a fighter who has been knocked down from sturdy punches in the past but recovered, goes straight forward for a toe-to-toe with a much taller, heavy handed Colombian. Yes, Khan was over-matched last night but Khan is a swift and classy fighter who chose not to use his range, speed and timing to get out of this guys way in the first 4 rounds.

Khan called it a "stupid little mistake" but I'd go as far to say it was an amateurs mistake and I honestly don't know how he expected to win with this gameplan. A good technician will nullify Prescott's power as Khan should have done. We know Khan is a slick fighter and could have made a fight of this even if the ending was inevitable.

So, Khan can't take a punch. To be fair to him, Prescott was huge and his record suggests he hits very hard and looking at those clips I'd imagine Prescott could do that to a lot of top fighters. Psychologically, I think we're going to see a gun-shy Khan from now on, another Audley if you like and with Hatton and Calzaghe winding down, there's only Haye left.

Carl Froch is a very good fighter and no doubts he will win his WBC title shot.. However he is not one of Warrens fighters, he's still with Hennesey!

Not sure why everyone is blaming Warren for Khan thinking he's invincible... IT WAS Warren who kept saying AFTER EVERY fight that Khan wasn't ready for a World Title. IT WAS KHAN and his family that kept saying he was a world beater and could beat anyone.
 
I think Khan's problem is that he's fought too many clowns to increase his reputation, he starts thinking he's Muhammed Ali and then gets taught a lesson the moment he comes up against a decent boxer.

Hopefully this will bring him back down to earth and he'll prepare mentally as well as physically for future fights.
