Give Scotland Independance

Lol this thead is funny. You englishes are well jelous of our free uni. im enjoying it right now. He he. And you have to pay :) If it is being payed for by your taxes as you say (i know for a fact its not) then even better. I shall be sure to apply for all the grants i can.

Scotland is a great country and is at the front of a lot of modern research. Also theres tons of oil left.

im not going to go saying english is rubbish, because its not. Both can be good, not one or the other.

Scotland could support itself alone. The labour party admitted this.

So, to all you brainwashed scottish hating englishes, I say "Ha Ha stuff you i get free uni"




EDIT: oh and by the way if this becomes a scottish vs english thread, i dont mind. I shall be happy to join in. (we will win)

3) I know you were likely being facetious but all this chat about Scotland being subsidised is inaccurate. England doesn't generate enough taxation to pay for itself, let alone Scotland.
 
Scotland is noting short of a piece of land as is England, to say that is should have is Independence is disgrace to all the people of Britian.

Just because Scotland is run by the English doesnt mean the Scottish will make it any better.

Also wasn't the REAL William Wallace a rapist and a pillager.

Last time I checked England was being run by a Scotsman and had been for quite a while.

On the terms of Radar you can't discount Eddie Bowen's research either (a Welshman).

On that topic, being Welsh... we've had our hands on inventing too you know :p

The equals sign was invented by a man who hails from my hometown of Tenby... Robert Recorde :)

Tenby (well Saundersfoot to be correct) also holds fame to William Frost, who arguably was one of the first men to fly an aeroplane and also patented the idea/design before the Wright brothers did.

I think we were the first to use a timestable as a teaching aid, we came up with the symbol for Pi as well :cool:
