Hi all,

For our wedding the missus is getting a platinum wedding rings, not to keen on rings in general but I am also not too keen on solid platinum.

Decided I would like a titanium one instead, with maybe a platinum inliay of some sort in order to tie in with the missus' ring.

Anyone any suggestions for places that sell nice titanium rings, or maybe somewhere I can look at getting a custom design made?

EDIT: Open to suggestions for other types of rings as I have just spotted this one: http://www.tirings.com/product_info.php/cPath/11/products_id/288916 I like the material but not sure about the carbon inlay. I don't want silver, gold or white gold!

Serriously, how warped would you have to be to expect any other type of ring to be talked about? Thats taking the "hehehe he said RING" 5 year old mentality a bit too far.

Were you expecting a sad yet heartwarming story of a war veteran who suffered a tragic accident and was then given pioneering new prosthetic surgery so he could sit down again??

One question: Why does you wife want platinum? Is it the looks? If so white gold is a cheaper alternative or is it because it is expensive? :D

Once my ring becomes scratched beyond repair (due to my job) I will be replacing it with a titanium/tungsten combo.
 
Depending on what you want out of a ring you might find that titanium feels a bit light on the hand. Platinum however is a much denser metal, heavy or super heavy and you'd know you were wearing it :)
 
ive got a Boccia Titanium wedding band. It replaced my 18ct gold band that couldnt be stretched any more with out damaging it.
The Ti band looks heavy but weighs next to nothing and stands up to a lot more hammer than the gold band did.

Wife has a fancy Platinum engagement ring and a wedding ring made to fit that!
The joys of buying a one off design.
