Large Hadron Collider

It'd be awesome if the scientists found out that it was infact some scientists turning on a Large Hadron Collider that caused a black hole to form. This black hole then sucked in the entire universe, and eventually exploded outwards in one..big..bang. Spewing out mass to seed life in the universe once more..

A reciprocal circle of perpetuity.

That's a pretty awesome idea actually :)

and no one got remotely excited about LEP een though it turned up the top quark (the missing peice in the standard model). All of the media interest has come about simply because of a few people stating that it was going to be the end of the world. It explains a lot about the media, their hysterical nature and their outlook and simplistic view of the world.

LOL

Prof Cox said that the people that have made up the stories of the world going to end are "half-wits" :D :D

Quoted for win :D

where has this "end of the world" theory come from? the media or some proper source?

Its possible that minute black holes can be formed but they would be there for a tiny tiny amount of time.

The media have then heard this and then done their usual mega hype.

If they actually looked into this properly then they would be saying its the end of the universe everyday.
