Ye can agree with most of that, as said it's partly just my problem. But what I also find irritating is that once poster X has made their comment about Car XYZ being the best thing since sliced bread, that comment gets repeated hurled at the OP time and time again even if they have posted "I don't want car XYZ but thanks for the comment".
Example being a mondeo is a good value car, hell i'm on my third. But it's certainly not for everyone and would not fit everybody's criteria.
I think it depends on the reason for rejection. I cant speak for everyone else but 'I really dont like the Mondeo, I drove one once and I just couldnt get on with it' will result in me not bothering to mention it again.
But usually you dont, you get utterly random responses which clearly indicate the OP has given it zero thought.
'I want a hatchback, not a Mondeo' when 70% of Mondeos are hatchbacks. Or 'I dont want a big car, I don't need the extra space' when a smaller car will cost 500 quid more so why not just have the space and not use it? Thats a bit like going to Sainsburys and not buying some Shredded Wheat because it has a 50% extra free offer on, and instead buying another box with less in it for more.
Or 'it will drink petrol, no thanks' without bothering to work out how much it'll cost. etc etc.
Thought out, rational responses will rarely result in a flame war. Random junk often will.
