On my xp pro sp2 OS my aquamark score was around 135,000 then i installed
vista home premium and my score dropped to 94,000 ok i knew vista had hardware/software/performance issues but i did'ent think it was that bad.
I turned off the windows areo and my score was still around 94,000,any suggestions. How about dual booting xp and vista is this difficult to do,xp for gaming vista for anything else..

Strange, when I installed Vista all my 3DMark/Aquamark etc. etc. scores were exactly the same. I have never had a problem with Vista performance.

Don't blame your problem on Vista too quickly...

What are your specs?

turn off defender real-time scanning, and wait for the pc to boot up properly in vista (check task manager and wait for free ram to reach almost 0) -this is superfetch, it's a good thing
