A woman committed suicide today right by my house by climbing up a pylon next to a secondary school. She touched the coils, got a massive shock and fell off. Right in front of hundreds of school kids at home time. All because she's saft in the head thinking it's the end of the world, selfish *****, all those kids have got to live with this and will never forget it!

Some people want to choose their own death, instead of letting it be decided for them.
That part seems reasonable to me, but considering the world isnt going to end anytime soon, the woman who killed herself was an idiot, and should have been put in a mental health ward.

Funny you should say that. There is a hospital next to the school with a seperate mental health department, i would put money on that she escaped somehow
I can't be bothered to read the whole thread but it does seem people actually believe the world could end. If you're one of these idiots then you need to stop drawing conclusions when you know relatively **** all in comparison to people working on this. A mental illness maybe, but retardation is unlikely. I don't think a person who is mentally retarded could choose to end their life by climbing an electricity pylon.

Well indeed. What a salient point.
I'm sure there are multiple things this project will accomplish. Possibly the Higgs Bosun, nanobots that can repair axons, rayguns for starships or one of those fairground grabby machines that actually picks up the bunny. I say leave them to it.
Anyone that thinks this is a conspiracy or the world is going to end etc. needs a slap! Its a highly controlled experiment on a sub-atomic level, and it hopes to benefit mankind by providing evidence for the makeup of Atmos. Simple! (Though alternatively it would be interesting if they didnt find the Higgs Boson). But I dont see why people have to try and find negativity in positivity!
