Im really stuck at the minute, im thinking about selling my PS3 and getting a wii?

Ive had my PS3 more or less since they first came out and kept hold of it waiting for Metal Gear Solid. Now that ive smashed the game I dont even switch it on anymore because of my xbox 360.

When games come out for both systems I automaticaaly but it for the 360 (just because I like the system a lot more, but I dont want to start a war).

So I was thinking about getting rid and getting a wii for some good old shooting games and possibly wii fit? or something along them lines?

What should I do? should I just keep it?

Do you care about any of the PS3 exclusives coming out over the next few months ?

Resistance 2
Wipeout HD
Little Big Planet
SOCOM: U.S. Navy Seals
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm
MotorStorm: Pacific Rift
DC Universe Online

If yes then then keep, if no then then sell, you can always pick one up again.

My Wii gathers dust and I've only had it 4 months.
Don't get me wrong Super Mario Galaxy was amazing but other than the very occasional game of Boom Blox/Wii Sports when people are over and my daughter playing Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey it doesn't get switched on.

If you're not playing your PS3 consider selling it but I wouldn't recommend a Wii.

Ive only heard of Little Big Planet out of that list that looks interesting, ive obviously heard of Wipeout from the good old PS1 days!
Ive not heard of DC Universe Online but it sounds interesting if its like Marvel Ultimate Alliance (because im a bit of a comic geek).

And I used to have a wii ages ago and there wasnt a lot out for it and the games were a bit childish? But Ive seen House of the Dead and another arcade shooter that looked like it would be fun for pick up and play? And im sure ive seen a sega bass type fishing game with a rod etc? the original on the dreamcast was top draw!

If you don't use it then get rid of it.

Wii's are good fun but banking on it as a replacement may go sour depending on what you want it for.

Would you not use the PS3 as a Blu-Ray/DVD player? It's pretty much all that mine does at the moment but it does it very well. I actually like the machine a lot too.

As above, except mine doesn't get used at all anymore :-/

The kids aren't even interested in it :(

Yeah its all I generally use it for!
Dont get me wrong its a top machine and it looks top, I suppose its just like me having a few hundred quid in the bank, do I keep hold of it or do I spend it now ;) ha ha ha!
But if people are saying that the wii's still arent great and theyre not getting used im not going to get rid of it!

Basically one thing i have noticed is:
xbox 360 - games
wii - stupid silly fun/multiplayer is more fun
ps3 - bluray player
PC - does all the above
let the flames begin... :p

I had a Wii. It was good fun at the start but the novelty sort of wears off in the end and it sits there for a while.

I know some people are still getting good use out of theirs and they are good fun as I said - but a lot are going without being turned on which is inevitably what happened to mine too.

I would say just to keep the PS3. Whilst it's tempting to sell it up for a few hundred and spend that on something nice, it will have been pointless if another exclusive comes out down the line and you want to play it.

The 360 and PS3 combination for me is perfect. The 360 I find brilliant for games and online gaming particularly but I couldn't use it as my main HD/DVD player, the thing simply isn't built for it. (I'm referring to the noise levels and also heat here)

To be honest I wouldn't consider selling either the PS3 or 360 at this time of the year as the exclusive games arriving for both consoles over the next 2-3 months are looking really good :)

I don't really get the point in selling either the 360 or PS3... I own both, and think there is too many good games coming out / already released on both to make it worth while thing to do.

Selling consoles is a flawed idea in the first place imo, you ALWAYS end up buying it again at a loss some point down the line when i game you want/need comes out.

Just keep it and play little big planet :)

Do you need the money? I never turn on both my 360 or PS3 but i still have them.

As for a Wii... it's a party console, no serious gaming will be happening there.
