Now THIS looks like it's going to be a hell of a phone. Forget the diamond, move over Omnia... this is something to look forward to come christmas.

Specs are:

· Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system
· Qualcomm 7201A 528MHz
· WVGA display
· 512MB ROM/256MB RAM
· GPS navigation
· HSDPA connectivity
· 5 megapixel camera
· MicroSD memory card slot

If this delivers then I am 100% buying SIM-free... browsing on this thing will be awesome, the 3.5mm headphone jack is a welcome step, and if it has 30fps video recording...

Internal storage would be nice but with the size and cheapness of SD nowadays it's not really much of an issue imo. Looks purdy... :D

Meh, if it had a QWERTY, I'd be all over it, but I'll hold out for reviews of the X1 when it is released, and prolly end up getting a Touch Pro.
 
You will probably end up saying what most people do, the touch keyboards are actually quiet good and the need for the qwerty slide out is not as great anymore.

Well thats what I have noticed from a few users of the pro.

I just hope this comes out soon.
 
Nice one that res screen would be awesome! Assuming the screen size as a whole is bigger than a iphone aswell? Can only hope. I want one.
 
Shame my touch pro didn't come with a beefed up camera/3.5mm jack .. literally that and battery life is what would make a great phone an awesome phone.

its virtually identical in size to the iphone which a much higher res screen, the touch diamond screen is amazing at 2.8" this is apparently 3.7" so very nice indeed
 
Wow. Was going to dip into a Touch Pro as well. If they release a QWERTY version of that I might have to delay my purchase a bit longer.
 
I was looking at the Diamond as an upgrade, but right now seems I pay a premium due to upgrading early.. so by nice if this is due to be released about the time my contract runs out.

I might even wait for it, like I did with the M3100 :).
 
Obviously HTC are marketing it for the higher rez, despite it not being true HD. Nothing to worry about really, it's just a name.
