18GB install for GTA IV

18GB seems like a massive install for this game. Hopefully this means some huge texture update to the whole game.

oh dear at warez kids already, 18gb is nothing to any modern pc gamer so its no big deal at all, i bought 2 x 500gb drives for £38 each

Hopefully that disk space is high-detail textures, it does say 512MB video memory in the recommended requirements after all. While this game looked incredible on the Xbox 360 the textures did look a bit... IMO.

Aye, I have no reason to "try before I buy" on this one. Played more than enough on the 360 to know what I am supposed to expect, and I did enjoy it for the most part, so no doubt I'm going to really enjoy it on PC.

It's only the recommended specs so I'm sure you'll be covered in the minimum specs.

my res is low 1280x1024 maybe it will run fine

if not ill give my 2 3850 for my brother and get my self 4850 :rolleyes:

Should be fine, that's only slightly bigger than it runs on the 360 after all.

Nice one, I didn't realise the were releasing GTA 4 on the PC til I read this. Bet it doesn't come out til next year though, I'm sure the Nov release date will be pushed back.
