U-Torrent Problem..

Anyone else on Virgin Media getting slow downloads, since upgradeing to 1.8 of u torrent mine never goes above 35kb per torrent, anyone else find this happening?
 
did you know virgin media customers using things like uttorent can have there service disconected,and possible fine for copyright infringment?

no they not ;) what if im downloading wallpapers? huge packs? :) 2-3gb i've seen a thread b4 when people get letters from virgin media for downloading games from steam?!?!?!? :)
 
im with virgin too and i get great speeds i once got 1.5mb i was quite shocked tbh lol
alltho i do set it to accept the max number of connections and limit upload speed to 5kb that always gives me a boost

and try changing your port

Sorry to say but this information you have heard is slightly wrong They give out a 3 strike policy, 1st strike a warning, 2nd strike a suspended account and 3rd you will be cut off but upto date they are not allowed to pass on your details anyfurther than their company.

Joking aside, if you increase your upload speed to a point your download speed on that torrent will usually increase, especially if there aren't a massive amount of seeders. However, it does get to a point where the speed you're uploading at will affect your overall download speeds. I've read that optimum upload speed should be 80% of your connected speed but i've found the figure that high hampers download speed. I set mine at around 65%.
