Does anyone know a number to get through to an english speaking support centre or are they all in india now? I've been transferred about 5 times in 10 mins!

Well after being transfered god knows how many times i eventually got through to the british call centre! and it was all sorted and 10 mins(replacement monitor on the way tomorrow!)

he asked how long i was waiting and i told him about the rubbish indian call centres and how they was messing me about, too which he said he was sorry etc...and said if i ever need to call again ask for the optiplex department as this is where they deal with monitors and speak proper english.

hey Soulija,

what number did you call?

I've got a bright pixel(?) (it shows as red on a white background) on my 2408WFP so I'm going to try and get a replacement.

Just dial 0844 338 1200
Make sure you have the monitor Serial number to hand and the Dell works order from the box this is at the top of the Dell packign label. When you call through ask for monitor department

Dell will also ask you for the original purchasing companies name if bought from OCUK it's Esnet Limited

That's a stuck sub-pixel from the sounds of it, don't know if that's covered by their premium panel guarantee (HP don't cover subpixels either, only whole ones).

Just brace yourself for the torrent of daily calls / emails from the Indian folks asking
about when you wish to return the faulty monitor ( even a month after you have
actually sent it back to them )

I got my 2407WFP replaced recently, I rang 0870 9080800 and asked to be transferred to the monitor department. It's based in Glasgow, so far I've been talking to two really nice and helpful Scottish guys.

Well they've been, but it seems they've replaced my 2407 HC with a 2407wfpb Rev A02(but it has a sticker over it saying A04)

What's the first part of the serail no? CZ-x0Y545 = 2407WFP if it's DR474 it's a HC, CX268 is a 2408WFP.

A04 was the final version of the 2407WFP (CZ-xUY545xxx)

CZ-OCC303

It does seem to be the latest rev as it has 1:1 mapping in image settings.

Not sure if i should call dell and get them to send me a HC or not?

Just got off the phone with dell and they say they only replace monitors with 2 or more dead/bright pixels, even tho on their website it says 1 or more. But they are replacing mine as a "good will gesture".

They also said the Premium Panel Guarantee has to be purchased.

Well got it replaced again but this time the usb part is naffed and it's hard to attach the stand to the monitor. So they'll be out tomorrow to replace it again.

when I had a problem with a DELL system last year, when I phoned them I got the British call centre straight away. I guess it must be different for monitors as opposed to systems bought from them.
