Thats one of the unfortunate side effects when massive alliances of several hundreds of people all decide to roll on the same server. I cant say I am terribly surprised that the 2 servers with the longest queues are the 2 servers that the biggest beta alliances agreed to go on.
Conversely, Karak-Izor and Karak-Norn both have low population and non-existant queues. Took a fair bit of researching by my guild to ensure we didnt get trapped on one of the two big queue servers

Same here. We did a lot of research to avoid these servers due to the issues people are now experiencing, and will continue to experience for some time.
We've now got a server with no queues, nicely populated and having some fantastic PvP so far, and better yet, because it's a fresh server, a guild can make a mark. Not just be another of the well known guilds residing on the server eclipsed by all the other well known guilds.

Yeah, the moment I heard of the big beta alliances heading for Azgal and 8 Peaks when the servers were announced, we knew those 2 servers would buckle under the strain. We went for a middle of the park server and its paid off beautifully

Its on 1/2 server cap for SE, at launch it will be full server cap. So no, they dont expect people to pay for this.
Like I say, there are 3 servers at the moment with low population, and there are another 6 servers due for release day.
Azgal and 8 Peaks were the 2 destinations for the 2 largest beta alliances at the moment the servers were named.
(incase anyone wanted to know, Ariaelle is on low population if you want an open rvr server, and Karak Izor and Karak Norn are on low populations if you want a core server)

I got home at 5:10 by 5:15 i was in game. I am not to sure what you were/are doing but as soon as i put my key in i could log in before i even got the email.
I must say bit by bit im getting put off by this game..... really enjoyed the game but everything GOA do is just so ****ed up.

seems that i managed to progress a bit, now downloading 209mb patch, almost there, still registration is a bit confusing imo,
