Can anyone tell me if this is still a slow, laggy system resource hog that goes to pot if you import albums via CD?

I'm guessing nothings changed but adding more stuff to it rather than optimising what they have already. I wish they'd fix the corrupted media library problem too...

Any information would be great.

Thanks. :)

I actually like iTunes. What is your problem with it?

I find it completely unintuitive. I use it, but it really feels like an afterthought compared to the slick interfaces and usability of the iPhone and iPod.

the new iTunes is good, the windows version is rubbish unfortunately recently removed it from my Windows tower.

Haven't found anything to replace it though, currently using VLC.

Itunes still sucks on windows, I only install it when I need to update my firmware on the iphone. It is still mega slow, installs crap that I do not want or need. Just generally meh compared to winamp :/

If im playing games or something, i use Foobar. But for just generally browsing/syncing my iPod i use iTunes, because Winamp is such a pain in the ass.

I find itunes & the lack of support for other formats a pain in the ass, Still no FLAC support? Also slows down my system so much when it is open it is unbelievable:/

But each to their own I hate the program myself! :)

I installed itunes when I was trying to load up some songs for my sister and found it to be bloated, slow and unintuitive. I had a similar issue with my old Phillips MP3 player - I had to use the godawful musicmatch jukebox to add albums.

Now I'd urge any ipod owner to try Anapod Explorer. It looks pretty good and has full windows integration with drag and drop support - like it should have been from the start!

;)

Another vote for MediaMonkey, Just spent about an hour fixing my Library etc. It's now syncing to my iPod Touch :D, It's awesome. iTunes for Windows is a joke.
