Good CPU Cooling?

The model of delta that OCUK are selling is the FFB1212EHE which is rated at 24w and 2amp.. the main issue is therefore is that you are going to have to run it off a molex as it will fry the 3pin motherboard headers or if you run it through some sort of fan controller either a) fry it or b) run at sub par performance..

Now I am never one to tell people not to buy delta's :D (have a collection myself :D ) they are excellent fans but trust me they will be loud.. you will hear them through your headphones.. your parents will hear them downstairs over the t.v. etc.. therefore I would suggest you look around for the FFB1212VHE or EFB1212SHE models both still put out a huge amount of air.. and can be controlled from 3pin headers and some fan controllers..

I do not think you will need 2 of them either in push-pull... I would go with one.. and then buy a few sharkoon silent eagle 2000 as case fans to make sure your delta has lots of cool air to pass over the heatsink.. using a combination like that would ensure you have some control over the speed the delta is running at (if its on a 3pin you can use speedfan) and therefore you can have it automatically speeding up and slowing down as required

You want to be looking at the CFM (higher the more air its moving) output the model you have linked there is ruffly 38CFM a good 120mm fan like the sharkoon silent eagle 2000 is around 80 CFM.. The 120mm delta on OCUK is around 190CFM.. the two models I suggested are ruffly 150/160CFM

The dB(a) is the noise level of the fan... around 20 is bearly auidable depending on your distance to the case.. most hoovers run around 60 - 80 dB(a) to give you an idea of how loud those deltas are

You need a 120mm fan ideally for the heatsink you want to use.. In all honesty unless you are running a quad on a huge overclock you would be better off running a couple of 1600/2000 RPM fans in push-pull for a lot less noise and similar performance on that sort of heatoutput..

Have a look at these:
Sharkoon Silent Eagle 2000
Yateloon D12SH-12 or Yateloon D12SM-12
Scythe S-Flex 1600

Also if you are going for a TRUE then be prepaired to lap it to get the best performance out of it
