L2P issue, start with finding a healer. and picking targets more appropriately.

So to have any influence in a fight I need to find someone to healbot me and then only attack easy targets. Clearly an awesome way to play the game.

From everything I've seen so far, and generally what happens in these massive RvR battles is that melee is just not that fun. Without a healer you're going to get destroyed, and you have to be right in someones face to do a thing, not to mention you've got BW and Sorcs who can just sit at 100/100 and just blasting people for pretty impressive numbers.

Not so sure on the easy targets bit, but definately a healer helps quite a lot though that kind of goes without saying :)

Cheers Tombstone, this is interesting, because I get the exact same screen from that link too:

Just queued for bout 20 mins... got in for 5 mins. then server crashed.

what a pain in the ass

I keep having to queue for around 10 minutes each time, but keep crashing to the desktop (no error message) every 5 minutes or so  Very annoying as I am trying hard to get to level 10

Not really. But a MDPS going head to head with a tank, without healing, is either going to be a very tough fight, or a lose. I play a WH and have to be selective with my targets, but by choosing the right targets I allow my team to win. Healers always first priority, then other squishies. I'll then help out with other MDPS and tanks.

Well flank the enemy and take out the BWs/Sorcs. In a scenario, they usually sit at the back and the rest pile in - generally ignoring them.

The T1 (and T2?) RvR areas are dead on my servers - I can only guess its due to the lack of rewards, the size of the zone, and the fact that many people are finding the scenario's to be quicker, more action packed and easier to gain renown.

T4 RvR should be an absolute riot though once enough people get there :)

Im gonna be wanting a free day or two this month. Server just went down AGAIN. and im sick of queues.

It seems a lot of people are still in a WoW kind of PvP mentality. Just jump in the scenarios and keep on PvE'ing. With time, this will change. Even at the T2 oRvR areas, PvP is so much better than the scenarios. Yesterday we had a few hundred on our server in the ostland/troll country areas laying siege to keeps. A group from our guild managed to hold a keep against an obscene amount of people. We utilised the keep lord and body guards in this, but it was fantastic fun!

Ah. I shall print this post, stick it to a baseball bat, and use the post-bat to whack everyone who told me how firefox does everything explorer can :D

errr it doesn't mean that it is Firefox's fault. They have likely not conformed to the proper standards when creating the site and have instead conformed to MS standards.

Were you in a warband at the time? The warband window sits on top of the chat pane, making it impossible to click the covered tabs.

i was in one, but i could see the tops of the panes.I was hammering the mouse button on 'chat' but it would not flip over.

i seem to recall they delayed the release of war about 4 months ago to give it more polish - i shudder to think what state it was in then; mind you, i count myself one of the lucky ones, at least i dont ctd.

my friend is always logon... logoff .. logon.... logoff.

i just think its in a poor state at the moment and as a consumer im getting pretty ticked off with publishers 'release now patch later' mentality.

the stupid things like the t2 scenario queues not working all contribute to an overrall 'meh' experience, when it should have been a shining example of an mmo that can go toe to toe with wow.

i just hope they can get on top of the annoying stuff like that, and overlapping text when fliping through the tome etc etc because it gains a momentum of its own.

Eight peaks better not turn into one of those servers.

I remember WoW at launch had a couple of servers that were always down more than up.

I'll be happy with that, I've already got about 14 days free this month as it is (which is handy seeing as I havent had many issues at all (at least certainly not 14 days worth) so bonus ! :D )

So I back your claim entirely !

See thats one of the odd things, in all the 8-9 months I was in beta, I virtually never ctd, in fact if you asked me outright, I would probably struggle to think of even 4 times that I ctd in all that time.

This seems to be more something which has occurred at release than something which has been going on for months. Whether that makes it easier or harder to diagnose, I dont know...if I did, I wouldnt be spending every day working in a ****** school with 700 obnoxious badly behaved teenagers :D

It happened loads to me in beta, it's happened once since release.
