Crysis wars will not work at all....

Well, a bit unhappy really - just installed crysis wars (JESUS HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?!!?!?

) and it will not play at all.

I double click the shortcut - which now seems to be broken (????) and instead shortcuts me to warhead. Also, if i put the wars disk in, and press play doing it that way, it still does nothing.

Anyone else have this problem?

No, he means Wars-the multiplayer game that comes with Warhead. I don't know the answer I'm afraid though mate. I'm about to install it on mine, so I'll let you know what happens!

Why not just manually run the exe from the folder you installed to?

Its not vista trying to restrict it or something is it?

I dont use vista on my pc so im a bit of a noob with it. but using my mothers laptop has been a pain in the ass at times having to "allow" every damn new program

Also - in task manager, there is an app running that says Crysis_activation.exe - but its doing nothing - what shall I do , it appears when I try to load crysis wars though.

Really wanna play this game!!!

Yea, i end the process, then try again, but nothing - this is after 4 installs now... anyway to activate it?

EDIT - ok, so I think its activated, happened randomly, but when I click the desktop icon, it has to now search for a file - Crysis-080922020949-080922024136.exe which isnt there - unless it is somewhere. Never had a game like this before lol

found this for you...dude was having the same problem

got it to work, securom actually did the online authentication the THIRD time i installed it. i turned off windows firewall... maybe that did the trick.

I also deleted every trace of warhead/crysis wars off my HD prior to reinstalling 3rd time, ran tuneup utilities to remove junk in system etc. also deleted all crysis files that weren't removed by installer.
