Carling Cup Spoilers 23 / 24

The way it was splinted, and he was given gas, I'm thinking the worse, shame, he looks a talent.
Precaution hopefully, his foot was off the ground which makes it more likely there won't be a break. If his studs were rooted then there's no doubt his leg would have snapped.

so you'd rather see a game where if you touch your opposite number you give away a foul ? or a game where you cant take your feet off the ground ?

Theres a world of difference between a hard and fair tackle and that act of thuggery we have witnessed tonight

Dude, theres contact, and there's landing a tackle with your studs just below the kid's knee.

What's wrong with you man? When did I once say that I didn't want people to touch the opposite team. My main problem is that you seem to have completely condoned the challenge and encouraged that there should be more like it. I mean what the hell, this talented, young kid could be out of action for months. I really can't see where you're coming from. I'd also appreciate it if you stopped putting words in my mouth and attributing me to comments which I have never said.

There isn't a fine line between a competitive game and a game filled with challenges we've just seen. There's a clear margin, that was dangerous play and was not a fair football challenge, no matter where you're from.

EDIT - Having taken a step back for a second I can only hope you're pulling my leg, as that's certainly what it seems like.

he tried to play the ball, he won the ball and what happened was purely a shame but it happened

Oh calm down, christ. You wouldn't give a **** if it was in another game.

Steady Andy, get your toys back in your pram.

Your right I wouldn't give a toss but to be fair it is the team I support so I would actually give a toss if one of our players got injured in such a barbaric manner.

ok then what was worse Guthries last week on Fagan or what we saw tonight ?

Ones assault ones part of the game

So everything you say is just in your opinion and "thuggery" was a bit OTT?
