*** Official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Thread***

Just have to know your limitations, when you are going to get out gunned, head for the hills ! . Join an open group doing RvR and just start to learn how to work with different classes.
You will only have the same situation again once you hit 10/11 and move to T2.

At 6 I've finally got something I can contribute to the group apart from pure single target DPS. A damage buff. Not that DPS is bad for a group, it's just that your 'input' is only seen by the speed at which the mobs go down.

I've been ranked one in the contributor to the Salthir group kill. As per EQ it's all in the timing and getting a feel for not over burning until enough hate has built up on the tank.
I remember in EQ the wizzies really debuffed, then only started slow damage at about half HP (if at all) and then opened up with full damage at the end.
Being the baby shammy of the guild, I was providing buffing and spent my time being a cana/heal-pump for mana to the other classes such as necros, shammies and clerics. I was the deathtouch gimp too.. which is why I had good armour (full blue TOV) for my level and the reason I didn't level quick ;) and was starting towards getting ready for Vex Thall (irc) behind the others.

On PQs, I’m starting to think the best way to level up is to farm the easy/popular PQ in each racial area and top up your EXP with Scenarios. Gets the best gear and renown points that way. Your average PvE quest doesn’t have nearly as good rewards.

That's exactly what I have done. Although there's a lack of interest todo the second part.. and the Dyrads in the next chapter kick my butt! :)

There seems to be nobody further on.. in about 5 hours I got to 6.5.. and that's with a fair amount of adventuring (I have a fully green upper second of the map).

Yeah its working on Hirn, but there is plenty of reason to go there !! Got to level up our capital city, to be honest I wish more people on Hirn took the time to go to Inevitable City because at the moment so few people are going there that its going to take us months to even get our capital to rank 2
i already did the quests i can get at my level but the only mobs that seem to give any city exp for me now are the enraged souls or whatever there called but they dont give me exp and i need to kill around 5 just to get the city exp msg

Adventure more! Do scenarios too - if you've not already. All the mobs I've encountered are lower than me or equal (level 6) I've not seen any 10, 20 or 40 mobs..

What does City Levels do?

city levels allow more goodies for your sides capital, cl2 for the guild pub etc

probably some other perks that make it harder to invade aswell

Public quests aren't given out by quest givers, they just announce themselves on screen when you enter the area. If you've got a quest in your quest log, then it just happens to be in the same area as the PQ, and you've got something to do in that area that you haven't finished yet.

looking on the forums some guy said after you finish a public quest you need to go to the warcamp in Ekrund to find the Flight-Master. Is this correct?

So are these just extra servers as im guessing not a lot of people will be moving across??!!!

They're clones of the existing server. I'm guessing those people who are sick to death of the queues will move over, those who dont mind the queues or are willing to continue having them will stay.

Nope, each town has a PQ npc in it, usually the rally master in the town. You just go to him to collect your influence award (providing you have built up enough influence)

Havent had much time to play so my highest character is only r9. I'm yet to experience any proper, large scale rvr - is this generally the case with tier 1 or is it just because I'm behind everyone else who have now moved on to tier 2?

Probably due to people moving on to tier 2, not sure what the tier 1 is like on my server anymore, but the tier 2 is absolutely heaving with large scale keep fights and rvr each night now

You don't get as large scale RvR in T1 ime. Although there is a fair amount of action around some of the pairings BOs (usually chaos/empire).
