Dual Boxing - WoW

Ok, so I have been taking advantage of the RaF offer, and have leveled a 70 a while back. I still have around 40 days of this offer left on both of the accounts in question. Im looking to level another char using the system, but this time I'll be going it alone, and duel boxing. I know they is some sort of addon available to do this, where what ever I press on Box 1, it will auto do on Box 2, Blizzard have also claimed that this is not against the TOS due to the player owning and actualling play both accounts (at the computer).

Im just wondering if anyone knows of any free addons that can do this? They are a few mentioned on the WOW site, but they seem to want you to cough up money.

Anyone done this? what did you use?

well i guess they assume if your stupid enough to pay for two wow accounts then your gonna cough up the money for the software to do it :p

I'm not trolling, i have dual boxed before just used two machines and put the other char on follow. Sure there are much better ways of doing it.

Pretty easy to do this.

As stated above its easier to put one on follow, you can even do it from a single machine running two wow's.

I am doing recruit a friend at the moment with a friend of mine who has access to a paladin on another account. We have just dinged level 31 in just over 5 hours played.
 
Sorry to hijack this thread a little...

This recruit a friend.... i have an account, not being paid for atm, with a lvl 34 druid on id love to get a bit higher, is it possable for me to use an account that has been used in the past or des it need to be a brank spanking new account to get this RaF offer to work on it?

I understand how to put the other char on follow etc.

But now you can get addons, so for example, I have 2 hunters, I put 1 hunter on follow with the other. When I cast a action from Box 1, it will auto cast aswell from on box 2.

Or when I type, 'Hello' in box 1, it auto types it in Box 2.

Basically, they is an addon that copys what I do from Box 1, to box 2. With this addon, you can do double the damage, not have to swtich boxes to accept quests etc.

To the best of my knowledge there is no addon which does exactly what you want, and even if it did, I would probably be very limited. There are many options for multiboxing, I suggest going to Dual Boxing Forums, it'll have all the info your looking for.
 
What he said. There are no addons.

There are multiple ways of doing it. I triboxed using Synergy and 3 machines. Synergy broadcasts keystrokes over your LAN, allowing you to control 3 or 4 PC's at once using 1 keyboard and mouse.

You also need to set up allc haracters to respond to your various keybindings. Of course if you're dual boxing 2 different classes, this gets complicated. I triboxed 3 mages, so it was relatively simple to control.

You will be looking for keyclone or multiboxing. Either will do what you want in a basic fashion, keyclone being a lot more basic than multiboxing.

So for instance, if you set up key "1" to be frostbolt on PC1 and fireball on PC2, every time you press 1 you'll get a fire/frost combo :D

It will also clone the cursor so you can accept quests, click on npc's etc with both accounts.

Yeah thats exactly what I am looking for, but think they charge you for it now. Was hoping was a free one about. I will check that link that ominousnews put in his post.
 
You should try leveling up 2 different classes, much more fun that way.

So far Ive done, Tankadin/Spriest, Warlock/HealingDruid and now trying out Mage/Shammy. With the RaF offer, you can level to 60 within 5 days easily without doing instances. However, doing 60-70 will take a long time due to XP being halfed in a 2 man group and the RaF offer not covering levels 60-70.

FYI, warlock/druid is far too much fun. AoE grinding is insane with SoC, hellfire (with HoTs) and a felguard cleaving.
 
Autohotkey is what you want. Dont set it up to perform stuff automatically and you'll be fine. Just get it so that keys etc get sent to all clients and set up wow macros to assist etc etc. I know someone who runs 5 clients on a quadcore 8gig using this software. Quite funny to watch tbh.
 
just pay the tenner for keyclone.

seriously it takes 10 minutes to setup and you never have to touch it again.

i've done 4 characters with it now. 0-6 takes 2 and a half days average.

Have already leveled a 70 with this offer (obviously 0-60) took me a little over 1 day gameplay.

Will try that Autohotkey though.

lol no it doesn't, I did 60-70 in a week easily, sure I was playing it a lot but still, it's really not that long.

If you use addons like QuestHelper it's ridiculously easy!

60-70 is more fun than 1-60 too, more variety in quests and upgrading your old loot to Outland stuff is good fun. :p

Its still 40-50 hours worth.
