The Wipeout HD Information Thread

A Wipeout post is required with a full list of OCuk's PSN names i think... Its just a shame the PSN friends list lacks the ability to catagorize :/
 
I am finding it hard, some of the tracks I need to do a few times to get bronze :(

I did however turn auto-assist off as I think it is slowing me down more than doing it myself.
 
One thing that helped me a lot was setting the accelerator sensitvity to the lowest setting, When it was high I had to really press the X button hard to keep the speed up, A lot of the time I was on half thrust without noticing. After setting it lower though I am finding the game a lot easier!

Lol, same here. I was like "Awesome, easy trophy...*loads up Moa Therma*...o dear....:("

I think the place to do one is on the last bend where there is a thrust pad, cut the corner once you have boost and try and pull it off that way.

My net connection has been terrible and I'm hoping that when I get home from the pub tonight it will be finally finished downloading.
Doubt I can play it online till Monday at the earliest after the engineer has come had a look at the line.

I'm finding it tough too. I've gotten over my initial 'I cant do this at all' thing but its still insanely tough.

Still its oddly addictive. I keep looking over at the PS3 and wanting to have another session on it. Wish I had something that could display it at 1080p.
 
Nice game, still has that charm, unfortunately the music totally blows - the original was stunning with beats from Orbital and The Chemical Brothers, now it's just poor.

Graphically it's pretty good, better than I was expecting for £11.99, but nothing to really write home about.

Overall though, for £12 you really can't complain, it's certainly one of the best racers out on PS3 if not the best and it maintains that charm the original had in spades.

I think the music tracks are okay but for me there isn't enough variety.

I'm gonna make up a playlist with plenty of Prodigy, Pendulum and the like.

You can hardly complain about the music when you have the facility to put on any of your own favourite tracks!

Personally the score is good with a nice mix of techno and "racing" music.
 
Trying to start an online game with more than 2 players is fun.

It seems that 99% of players can't tolerate waiting more than 10 seconds for more players to arrive and become enraged with the wait and leave the lobby. Ridiculous.
