Hi all,

I saw some guy today when i was out shopping at the counter of River Island and when asked to pay he wipped out a thin shiny steel/crome card holder thingy majigi and pulled it open using his fingers and thumb to reveal a debit or credit card of some sort.

Looked like it had enough space for maybe 2/3 cards or a couple 20s to be folded away in it.

Anyone have one? Where can i get one from? What are they called?!

Seems like a good idea. Save me carrying cash and shrapnol i can use my debit card for everything. Or for more protection use my credit card and link it to my debit card so it pays itself off every month.

I made one of these before in 3D Max - it looked so sexeh :( wish someone made it in real life :( but never seen one. Not just a card holder - an actual wallet :p

Sounds snazzy I might invest. I recently got myself a zippo that I can open and light by clicking my fingers - need a light ladies?!

Seeing you're from Leicester, try the new Hugo Boss shop in Highcross, they had a metal credit card holder thing for £40 I think, not sure if it flipped out or not.

your op makes it seem like you don't normally carry your card around with you?? are you mental?

Absolutely. I only have a card wallet - I don't have a purse, so it's cards all the way + money clip if carrying cash ...

Haha - you make a good point. I hate having loose coins but I hate a wallet which is also a purse. I'm considering getting one of those coin purses though. Seen plenty of gents with them now and for the rare occasion I have a few coins I can pop them in there. Coppers always go in collection tins anyway.

Initially the whole coin purse + money clip + card holder appealed to me... then I realised add that to your mobile phone and your keys and it prob makes things even worse. surely money can fit in a card holder.

When I go out into the "real world"

I have my wallet, phone, ipod, watch, braclet, keys, change (back pocket = win), and occasionally my Zen.

I hate carrying so much stuff about, the idea of having something for my card in my wallet aswell... no. but then again whatever floats your boat. each to their own ect ect

You dont put a card holder in a wallet - its a seperate piece.

You'd have either:

Card holder + note clipper + coinpurse

or

Wallet.

wallet is more practical tbh but the first looks better and probably more functional than having to faff about with a wallet which I always have to do.

Doesn't it mean you just have to faff about getting the right money holder instead? Sounds very cumbersome to me.

Honestly, how complicated is your wallet that you have to 'faff about?' Surely its the most simple accesory known to man? :p

I don't really see the appeal of money clips, card holders, etc over a normal wallet, apart from being a bit of a fashion accesory. But then I hate the idea of everything being seperate. I keep my paper cash, cards, driving licence, etc all safely stored in the wallet and spare change in a front pocket. Job done. Whatever blows your skirt up, I guess.
