ATCs are back! atcs 840

Im lending serious thought to the silverstone fortress FT01 at the moment, if this can sway my thinking then they have a winner!

This case does look very nice, like the cut out on the motherboard tray so you can upgrade the cpu cooler with minimum hassle.

The cooler master logo on the front is not to my liking i think it ruins the overall asthetics. As for the hole for the cpu bracket I'd find it hard to install a heatsink like the tuniq tower with the board inside the case anyway so the only difference it makes is you will be able to install it outside the case screwed into the motherboard tray.

the idea is you can quickly swap them out once you've removed the tray (not having to remove the whole board..

Waiting on one of these. I'm after a case that will readily accept a 360 rad for my first attempt at water cooling and this one really looks to tick most if not all of the boxes for a good case :D.

Hope the black one is going to be black inside....

any update on these?

i hope CM are going to stop making the plasticy crap they've been spewing out for the past few years!

the market for high end cases is far bigger now, than it was when the original ATCs cases were out

I'm thinking you get could some wicked LED effects under the panel. (front bottom)

Yeah but that was never the point of these cases. they were supposed to be subtle not OTT gamer cases. Fancy lights don't work really

Guess I'll be attacking it with spray paint then :D.

In all honesty, why? (£10 can of spray paint on a £150 case does not compute).

It doesn't have a side window, its going to cost something like £150, it looks amazing as it is and I don't see the interior not being black as a downside tbh, seeing as the owner is the only person whose ever going to see/care about the insides.

Just seems like a great way to ruin a nice looking (expensive) case.

Not if I take it apart and spray it properly. I think it looks better if the inside is black, personal choice. The Antec P182 *SE* is a good example of how good it can look... I'm not fussed if you can't see it either, and who knows, I may end up with a window in it eventually.

I was considering a HAF932 to house my next rig, but this looks nice, more understated and far more refined looking than the HAF. May well hold onto my pennies and see what price/availabilty are like and how any builds go with these before dropping on one.

now if they would just go back to the classic designs and rehash them for the more current computers (bigger fans etc) then I'd be a bunny most happy
