Premiership Fixtures 4th/5th October *Spoilers*

Thing is Rotty is that it's not all the fans who sing it. The words are pretty distasteful thats for sure. I am not turning this into who has the worst fans but I have been to quite a few Utd Liverpool games at Old Trafford to see the majority of fans in the away end sing their stupid moronic Munich songs and wave there arms like a plane crashing. Then they all get up in arms (and quite rightly so) about anyone dare mention Heysel or Hillsborough. Is it fair to say that is representative of all Liverpool fans ??? Of course not. Same with Utd fans as well. Unfortunately songs of this nature seemed to get aired away from home. Its doubtful you will hear some of the chants directed to Sol Campbell last week heard at White Heart Lane

Not because im a Liverpool fan, but i don't think that's a fair comparison. The song Rotty's referring to has seemingly been accepted by the vast majority of Utd fan and gets sung at the vast majority, if not every Utd game. I don't think the same can be said about any other Hillsborough/Munich/Heysel songs. Oliver Kay wrote an article the other day (after some distasteful chants at the derby) and went as far to say as he even witnessed Utd players singing the song after the CL final.

I'm sure it isn't all of them but it seems odd that there is no attempt from the decent majority to stop it

Re the Liverpool fans at OT, I haven't been for a while but have seen bad behaviour on both sides when I have been ( and the worst behaviour of the lot from the police ) but I certainly haven't seen it to the extent you say

Michael Owen's first game against Utd when he got sent off on a Good Friday.

3-1 in the League Cup 91 iirc

FA Cup 4th round '99

It's all well and good saying about the decent majority but to be fair I don't remember any decent Liverpool fan saying anything against the Morons who sung Munich songs pre Heysel/Hillsborough. We can go on all night about who should do this and double standards that but it's pointless. Almost as pointless as the sick songs sung by the idiots who follow our respective teams

agree, was just curious if, for some reason, they didn't think it offensive

anyway will leave it there, back to the match :)

I'm Sorry BaZ anything that Oliver Kay has little value to me and certainly no credibility. A self confessed Liverpool fan and Utd hater. He was the same reporter who supposedley had info on Alan Smith singing Munich at a Working Mens Club in Leeds before he joined us. And that turned out to be a load of old tripe.

Paul Ince is a scouse .......

I wish Tevez was playing. Giggs really didn't need to start, Park would have been a good choice instead. Blackburn started so well and then vanished. Hopefully a few more goals in this game otherwise match of the day tonight is going to be really boring.

Yes he's a Liverpool fan but the article in question was critisising Liverpool fans for their response to the 'Murders' song.

Regardless of that, can you honestly say that you hear any other Munich, Hillsborough or Heysel songs sung as frequently (being sung as i type) as 'we've won it 3 times'?

Now this isn't meant as a dig at Utd fans. Like Rotty hinted at above, it strikes me as a lot of the fans singing it seem to find it acceptable and not offensive (similarly to what Liverpool fans sung last Saturday).
