I was outside having a cigarette with the missus and she pointed it out.

It was very high, very bright and was travelling pretty damn fast. :)

Did it look like this?

:p

That wasnt the ISS you saw... it was superman in his new "day-glo" suit he got from china.

hm...be nice to see something like that :(

What would it look like actually...Just a fast moving light pretty much, and damn small.

According to the link, it should be passing near UK at 10.35 (BST) so not quite sure how you lot have seen it...

Missed it tonight, but we all get together at the top of our road to watch it most clear nights.

On another (really envious) note, friends of ours have gone to the US this week and will be watching the Shuttle take-off from the official viewing area.

2 passes tonight according to Heavens Above web site which may explain the earlier views

It's dropping further north on every pass tonight, I am in the Midlands and it was lowish in the north sky at 9.00ish so won't see it again here tonight. Looks same size and brightness as Jupiter on a slow constant speed. You can see a few other satellites every evening if its clear but they all move much faster than the ISS. They look like stars streaming across the sky.

I must have missed it, which is a shame as its a really clear night down here, not a cloud in the sky. I don't spose it will make a second pass?

I can't make sense of it?

Ignore the "Stargate" thingy and look at the lower map of the continents with the track of the ISS overlaid. If you look along the track you will see brighter circle with a small circle inside it. that's where the ISS is at that time.

Ah, thanks
