Russell Howard

Who said it was funny? I thought we actually got to keep them?

Can't he go do my bidding for me now, I mean... that's the whole point right?.... right? :(

It's nothing more than pointless spam as I see it, which derails threads. And yes I know the irony of this post.

It's GD, isn't 90% of the whole place pointless spam?

Anyway, I don't find Russell annoying, he comes up with some funny stuff but he's just a bit too random if I'm honest.

I really like Frankie Boyle though, he's hilarious at times... and well very borderline at others :p

Saw him a couple of weeks ago and it was one of the best stand-up shows I've ever seen. He's manic on stage, like an over-excited child, and is really good at improv - apparently we (Basingstoke gig) asked him the most surreal questions he'd ever had in the Q&A at the end. His routine is honest and heartfelt, drawing on experiences you just know to be true, and I laughed a lot.

+1

saw him in cambridge a while back just before he started this tour, my sides actually hurt

I don't like Andy or Russell in mock the week. I never find them funny. However I have watche russell doing standup and I think he is funny, he just always seems to come out with complete crap on mock the week.

Michael and Frankie are the best on the show. Hugh is hit and miss with me, as is david mitchell.

Andy always sounds as though he is constipated when he speaks

Michael MacIntyre is funny but I just don't think he is right for the show, he should stick to stand up

How Russell got the job I don't know, his jokes never raise a smile from me

If it wasn't for Frankie and Dara I wouldn't bother watching Mock the Week at all

Had an excellent night last night at Russell Howard's stand up tour, he was hilarious, much funnier when given the chance to go off on tangents and go crazy.

I did hurt from laughing, I'd recommend him a lot.

apparently we (Basingstoke gig) asked him the most surreal questions he'd ever had in the Q&A at the end.

He said the same to us (Edinburgh) we had him doing aeroplanes around the stage and in the end some poor ginger girl had to lick rolo yoghurt off the warm-up act. There was also a discussion on dogging. Very odd. Not laughed so much in AAAAGES.

I went to see Jason Manford last night at Birmingham town hall. Great stuff, his epilogue was along as the 2nd half just answering loads of questions the crowd were throwing his way.

I'd recommend seeing him if you can, the venue was only about 60% full so rest of tour probably isnt fully booked.

My girlfriend surprised me last night and has got us tickets to see Michael McIntyre tonight as a reward for my weightloss so far! :D Whoop!

Russell Howard is genius-kind of like a Ross Noble lite! Some of his imagery is fantastic...he isn't Noble though!

There's a face, next muffin...

Saw him tonight, SO much better stand up than on mock the week.

I actually found him funnier than Eddie on Tuesday, and his Q&A heckle handling is top notch.

Very similar style to Ross Noble, who is my fav comedian :D
