I'll start the ball rolling. We're off to Whistler in January again but this time avoiding the new year break period which was chaos last year.

Anyone else booked up yet?

Not got anything planned this year, cant really afford it. I know what you mean about chaos i went Andorra a few years back over Christmas and New year and it was ridiculously busy, 2 hour wait. for the main gondola.

This year the usual suspects have let me down. We have thought about other places but with two couples of the group going on holiday in the next month and another with a new baby.. everyone is a little lethargic in getting off their butts to organise it (and get somewhere at altitude).

Same I think I could really do with a good boarding trip to focus getting fit again.. instead I think I may take up fell running to bridge this year's gap.

Meanwhile my board slowly weeps..

think i will end up somewhere in italy this year, though all depends if i can find any bargains

Yup, decided to go back to....

Bulgaria this season!

Its where we first started skiing, all of 6/7 years ago. Been there a few times, along with Austria (St Anton) and Andorra (Soldeu). Have to say, Bulgaria is still my favourite place to go! Skiing isnt the best, but the apres ski adn the atmosphere of the place is amazing.

Time to polish my boots and skis for February!

Might be abit naughty and try boarding this year tho ;)

Not booked but will be going somewhere. I've missed 3 years skiing while saving for a new kitchen, however when the ex left I had to use that money to **** her off.

I WILL be skiing in 2009!

Hoping to get out to Whistler in late Feb/March to stay with some friends. I lived out there for nearly two years and I've been back in the UK now for more than that length of time, it's already been too long!

Snowboarding at Christmas with family at Tignes. Haven't boarded in 8 years, should be interesting.

Skiing Whistler in late January with father, haven't skied Canada before, should be fun. 10 nights. Just got to book Heliskiing or Snowcat skiing, not sure heliskiing with worth the additional cost.

Then skiing in Ehrwald in February half time, with my old high school. Anyone ever skiied here before? Every other year has been BKK. Done the other side of the border before, Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Can't wait.

If I ever get a job that will be the first thing I'll buy!!! Ideally Colorado if I can afford it-went there as a kid and it was amazing skiing, but if not I'll try to go to Tignes-never been before and it's meant to be reasonable.

Bulgaria is insane. The skiing is a little disappointing-very few really tough slopes, and it's a fairly small resort. However, the nightlife is awesome-one of my mates had been to Borovets before, and knew a couple of barmen there. One of them gave us glasses of straight spirits for about £2. My other mate ended the night spewing blood and requiring the local doctor to come along and put him on a drip!

prepaid 3 valleys season pass :)

not sure where ill be staying given the current economic climate but ill be spending at least 2 months out in courchevel (18/16/1550) :)
