The fact that people are living in Scenarios none stop is meaning that there is very little siege activity.

I enjoy this game. but i dont feel the urge to play it all the time

I only found out the other day that the best RvR loot doesn't drop in scenarios - only from dead players in open world RvR and from Keep Lords. Been spending a lot less time in scenarios since that :p

Playing on Karak Hirn as Zygorian, currently a 22 Rune Priest. I absolutely love this game, been looking for a decent pvp game like this since daoc, Guild Wars was pretty good but lacked the real world RvR stuff.

You goon, what did you roll there for?! I'm going to roll destro on that server just to give you a spanking.

Yeah but people are farming Renowned Rep. the renowned sets look pretty impressive.

That's my point though, the best renown sets for each tier can't be gotten from doing scenarios or from the renown vendor. I like that War has a habit of rewarding you for not taking the easiest route.

I'm still confused by player behaviour in this game...

I recently rolled on K8P, one of the highest pop Destro servers, as some of my ex-guildies are on there (I'm mainly on AxeBitePass, as Order, with Medium pop)

Yet I find the same thing on there, as the others. People hardly touch RvR - its very, very rare I see the RvR points change hands - and the only PQ thats ever really done is the one nearest the home camp. Tried for ages tonight to do some other PQ's but nothing....

So I can only guess that most people grind out the nearest PQ for xp, while waiting in queues for the scenarios. I only occasionally see people doing quests....I expected a lot more overally activity on a very high-pop server. Maybe the majority are now on T3/4 leaving 1/2 quiet?

When I play my Bright wizard the other team should have nothing to worry about, I never seem to get healed, ever. Oh, and I usually blow myself up before killing anyone else :p

same dont know why people are scared or bright wizards or think there overpowered we die in 5-10 seconds.

im lvl28 on mine i can do some serious dmg if i get 100% combustion but half kill my self nuking someone down and then dont get healed.

ive literaly been on 500hp for over 5minutes , pulled out the camp fire and stood there slowly getting ticks of health without a healer even casting a single heal...

we dont dont get any more dmg than anyone else when we get ot the lvl where u can burst dps people down on the scoreboards.

its the aoe dot spamming BW's that get the massive numbers on the scoreboard but barely anyone dies from a BW doing that.

i dont even bother spamming dots anymore its better to go for a single target and stick with it

if you need a guild pm "snoop" im ingame rather a lot so you could catch me easy.

the guild im a co-leader of has over 70members and everyone is friendly, weve had a few goes at mount gunbad but we have a tank shortage so its hard to get the runs going.

i swear no one rolls order as a tank hardly!

Bright Wizards are seriously overpowered, our DoTs seem to crit so many times that we can sit out of melee range and bring everyone down to their knees..and regarding healing its the same on any class it rarely happens unless you have a Kin or a mate watching over you ...

my main Destruction char is a Witch Elf, another that many scream 'overpowered' but the difference is that we have to stealth behind the front lines and try to take out the healers, only problem there is that if we dont kill our target within 10s we die, usually due to being too far away from the healers and were even more squishy than BW's

i rolled a Zealot to see how hard healing and surviving actually was and so far its been interesting in that most scenarios i dont engage the enemy and just heal i dont die, however if i try to heal and throw some 'scourge' and 'hexes' about i die lots. Now dont get me wrong i dont care about dying as there is no penalty in scenario's but what seriously annoys me is when youve tried your best to keep a player alive with constant HoT's and big one off heals they either leggit leaving you to get ganked (sometimes funny) or you get no thanks and they complain you let them die!!!! .. oh and dont talk to me about our dps output!!!! even same level NPC's take a week to beat down .. seems theres no incentive to roll healer classes sadly

so a little tip, always befriend the healers and say thx often in chat, that way your more likely to get heals thrown your way ...

*whats also funny is the first time you come across a 1v1 healer battle, just when you both think you are getting the drop on the other we both throw in a 'morale' heal and its all back to square one ... in open RvR and Scenarios you will often see Zealots and Archmages just wave to each other without engaging, its pointless to even try slapping each other ....*

Well they're adding the 1.02 patch this morning: details;

http://img.war-europe.com/syndic_img/news/patches/Patch102_EN.html

The realm balancing seems interesting and is much needed (Just hope it doesn't over compensate) I just wish they would sort out some sort of class balancing system so we so get less Bright Wizards and Order gets a few more Tanks :(

Well the last couple of days i've been doing quite a few t4 scenarios on my marauder. Most of the time order they have at least 2 lvl 40 tanks, a 40 bw and lvl 40 random class. The amount of tanks I saw during t3 pvp too leads me to believe that there is no shortage of order tanks, at least on azgal ;]

Nice that they're fixing the afk sc malarkey that some people thought was ok to do.

Just seen the +xp they're awarding on population balance. Now that could be a problem. Order on azgal already have many more 40's than destruction(in my experience), but dest have longer queues. Surely that will imbalance things too?

I'm glad they've fixed that chat, that got so freaking annoying

Got a big guild raid tonight so we'll see if this patch makes anything significantly better :)

Renown sets don't from from renown vendors? So where do you get it? :P
If you say keep lord, does it only drop the same item each time/opr random as there's only 2 keeps in one RVR area.

Anyway I got my Witch elf to 22 and stopped playing to go play with a friends new DoK, so I made a Black Orc as it'd be a pretty good set up, healer/tank (plus Dok's seem to do pretty good damage for a healer!!).

Level 16 now on the Black Orc and things are slowing down solo wise, my damage is worse than a healers even going into the damage tree and got a nice rare axe for my level, but soloing for quests just takes (dukenukem)forever, granted I can go afk to make a quick microwave pizza while mobs attack me which I couldn't for a second on my Witch, and being able to solo Hero mobs +2 levels higher than me in some cases but the damage is poor.

Also what the hell is that by the way, you're doing a PQ and everyone's a weakling damage dealer, they are wiping all over the place without you, yet when you, the tank, join and pretty much make the entire PQ possible, roll a crappy roll and get no bag... :( Oh and when they get Purps/Yellow bags...!!!)

A dok/black orc..we can duo all PQ's so far :> Takes a while mind.

I think im sticking to this game, it has potential.
Has a lot more than wow had when it first came out, mind you they took a few ideas, but it's working!

I can't believe people are saying BW's are crap :-/

To be fair if your playing as a BW and think you're not overpowered or dangerous you're not playing your char right.

Get with a decent group of players and in a decent guild for a start. You'll get healed if you're helping other players and not just randomly spamming the fireball button.

Help healers in battle and they'll help you in battle.

I've only blown myself up once or twice as I'm normally running very hot as well.

Start with a fireball attack, use DoT attacks and then use your powerful ones.

If you spot 6+ destructards attacking a small group then get straight into the middle of it and use the Fire Cage attack. Run a distance and start using your DoT attacks on them, this'll usually keep them in their cage and start hurting them too.

If the group is clever enough (which is hit and miss :p) they'll realise that they should focus on one guy when the cages are up since a powerful attack will set the others free.

I'm only rank 16, and I'm taking down level 19's and the occasional 20's relatively easily on my own.

Running around with a healer friend of mine (rank 19) and we can safely combat damn near anything we come up against.
