My picks. Tabern's really improved this year, and Barney's on a bit of a downer, so he could capitalise. Scholten is dreadful against anyone half decent, so Lewis should brush him aside. Hope Dennis gets through, he's had a bit of a time lately so a win would see a few tears I'd imagine.

I am a big fan of priestly too, he just comes across as the nicest guy you could ever meet. He has had a tough time with his health problems of late and i would love to see his go far in this tournament.

DENNIS PRIESTLEY picked up a third PDC Pro Tour victory of 2008 with a 3-1 victory over Raymond van Barneveld in Sunday’s Irish Players Championship. Priestley, 58, followed up earlier wins this year in Bristol and Canada with a fine performance to warm up for the Sky Poker World Grand Prix in style.

Eccles used to be a local lad so i would like to see him win his match too (especially as i am not a fan of wade) although i expect wade to win.

First game first upset,

What a cracker that was…The first set I was thinking oh no this is going to be easy for wade. Then he starts missing a few doubles in and let Eccles in…. It had me on the edge of my seat towards the end when wade was hitting the high scores, but well done Eccles for keeping his cool what a finish.

Ah grim, dont have sky. :(

The BBC will make decent bids for this sport again one day.

Priestley was 2 sets and 2 legs down against Mardle but fought back to take it to 2-1, and 2-0 up in th 4th set!

Looks knackered though the poor sod.

2 sets all now!!

Mardle is AWFUL! Had an 11 dart head-start, Priestley got away finally, and came back to nick it!
1-1!

Priestley breaks and it's 2-1!

Jesus, Mardle breaks back, 2-2.

Dennis does it, breaks yet again and wins! Crazy stuff that was :o

Any predictions for the final?

Phil Taylor clear favourite (1/6) on Stan James.

Im going to take a punt however on Barney at 4/1 outright and also 4/5 + 4 sets.

Should be a stormer either way.

I just checked oddschecker too, nothing on there until it's under way I think. 4/1 is still decent, I priced up Taylor in my head at 4/9, Barney 13/8!
