This guy on the 106oc has built a pretty impressive 106;

"I had a race with this Saturday Night in southend I think tried to get him to pull over for a chat but he kept screaming off into the distance, seriously fast car managed to beat the CSL easily!"

Sounds like very good fun!!!

its a quote numpty :p therefore someone else.

and the CSL driver probably noticed this little tin can was coming up fast in his rear view mirror... then promptly fly past :D

i assume it has the cyclones to allow for bigger brakes?

Yeah, that must be knocking on the power to weight ratio doors of a lot of supercars.

The new 500bhp F430 works out at 370bhp/tonne, and a standard 106 GTi was somewhere in the 980-990kg range if I'm not mistaken. So, around 340-345bhp/tonne.

Must be very quick!

My first car was a 106 and i can testify how dreadfully slow they :p On another note i think the money could have been better spent but hell it must be fun to watch BMW drivers wonder what the **** that was.

How the hell does he get the power down - I'm as close as dammit to that figure with a hell of a lot more weight and rubber to play with....it'll be lighting the tyres up when that huge turbo comes on boost.

Fair play though, and kudos for not slapping tat on it.

easily get the power down...once it's rolling :D

For 10k I'd buy something with a little more...finesse, but that thing must be a hoot :p

The 106 GTi was a cracking little car with a very sharp chassis but I can't see it being anything but corrupted with that bhp.
