Anyone else hear this one?

Couture is back fighting in the Octagon on Nov 15 @ UFC 91.... Fighting Brock Lesnar for the Heavyweight Championship.

Any thoughts?

I am sure Dana White is praying that Lesnar will win this one since it is undeniable that he has been fast tracked to the top extremely quickly. I'm not too sure if he is ready for this but I suppose it's good to see some fighters being thrown in at the deep end.
 
Lesnar is a good fighter, i also don't think he is ready for a championship fight yet but i am looking forward to this one and think he will win.
 
I'm just shocked that Randy came back to the UFC, I didn't think their differences would ever be resolved.

This fight will be fought on the deck and both are extremely powerful, but I think Randy's experience will be too much for the rookie, could be a good fight though.
 
I thought Couture was fighting Fedor before any other match. When fedor slaughtered Tim Silvia, Couture and Fedor shook hands to fight each other next. ??

EDIT: Just read the announcment at UFC. Well that should be an interesting fight. What worries me is Lesnar is prone to submission and even at his last fight, he left him self in situations were any great submissionist would easily take advantage.

Said that, Lesnar will be looking to rip Couture apart in the opening minutes cause this time, winning quickly will prove how much of a force he really is. Remember, Couture has a bad chin and one of Lesnar's punches will do damage.

I think he was near enough forced into it by the courts as he had two fights left on his contract.
As for the fight I don't give randy much of a chance, as i can see randy wanting to keep brock on his feet but with brocks size advantage around 60-70 pounds of natural weight, i can see brock taking it to the ground and do the same as he did to herring.
although randy may have a bit more of a chance of getting a sub
 
I'm not into UFC much, but I always keep an eye on Lesnar to laugh at him trying to fight due to being a wwe star first, but hes actually quite a double hard cheeseburger!

Looking foward to this.
 
Without one heck of a gameplan, couture faces so many different problems. Brocks speed and punching power in standup with the possibiliy of huge takedowns, couture will be weary to strike and throw leg kicks imo. He beat both tim and gonzaga by greco roman wrestling at some stage in the fight, but at no point to i see him being able to hang onto lesnar for more than 5 seconds.

Championship? What happened to Frank Mir? Ever since Bravo lost UFC rights I havent seen any of it. A real shame that they sold it all to Setanta.

Same here, the UFC was one of my viewing highlights, but I'm loathe to spend out more on another sub when there's not much else I'd watch on Setanta.

Mir is facing Nogueira for the Interim Championship then the winner will fight the winner of Couture v Brock
 
Hah, can you imagine Brock vs Nog, it'll be just like Sapp vs Nog all over again, except Brock can wrestle.

Nog via sub 4:50 into round 5. :)
 
This will be awesome :D

I wreckon Brock will drop Randy as he did Heath very early, and win by GnP.
 
Not sure what time but all UFC shown in the UK is on Sentanta Sports 1 since Bravo lost the rights.

It's on the 16th November.

That just not going to happen, going by his phenomenal striking ability. He knocked both Mir and Herring down with one punch very early on, and his agility, again taking Mir to the ground quickly. He has a massive natural weight advantage over Couture, so he will just man handle him.
