TGS: Metal Gear Solid 4 may well be on 360 after all..

Kojima Productions own the Metal Gear series, and Kojima himself has said that he won't be doing a 360 version. Money talks at the end of the day but in this case the IP belongs to a developer not a publisher so unless Kojima is poor (highly doubt) then I can't see him changing his views which he has stated on at least a couple of occasions in the past...

And guess who owns Kojima Productions.... ?

Anyone who works on a 'masterpiece' wants it to be seen and valued by as many people as possible. It was also stated that MGS4 would be exclusive to PS3, but they never commented on the re-release - a crafty piece of advertising and something that they have done in the past.

That's false, it is uncompressed audio, they can cut 40GB off the audio. I don't know what else is taking up the space on the disk because it's a short linear game.

I guess the PMC adverts are in 1080p, thats probably a good few gigs.

True the PMC ads are 1080P HD quality video, but the sound is compressed albeit to a very high quality. The audio is encoded in Dolby Digital 5.1 which is a form of audio compression :)
Not going to argue semantics though but its still compressed audio.
Anyway like i said everyone should play this game its that good so if it goes to 360 then its good, but i still cant see it happening.

They could compress lots of stuff which is true, but with it being linear and in 'acts' they could also use several discs which isn't a problem, if anything it's better than the Blu-Ray offering of 2-8 minute installs every act.

MS, making my ps3 a dustier paperweight by the day.
Really good game though I wouldn't buy it again (even for the multiplayer, which I would prefer on xbox live)
