Far far away....
Never one to shy away from the limelight, glamour girl Danielle Lloyd wowed onlookers with a shimmery low-cut dress. Her new fiance, DJ Ironik, was nominated for the Best UK Newcomer award.
However, that prize eventually went to this man - Chipmunk. The north Londoner teenager is regarded as one of the country's best up and coming grime artists.
The above is taken from the BBC website with regards to the Mobo awards.

Forget about the two bit Z Lister and everybodies favourite scouse racists but is anyone else just baffled by the quote or is it just me, are there kids out there that want to be grime artists?

What are you baffled by?

Of course there are kids who want to be grime artists.

Do you... know what they mean by grime artist? I'm really struggling to see what's confusing you here.

As a parent I would be slightly concerned if my child's ambition was to follow in the footsteps of a guy who calls himself "Chipmunk" and who's chosen profession is a "Grime" musician.

Give over. Plenty of people have weird nicknames, particularly in the music world, and there's plenty of strange sounding music genres. Grunge, anyone?

As a parent with those concerns you would also not understand the ins and outs of grime music and the lifestyle with it. I don't, so I see no problem. If you just mean that the names sound like a turn-off to rational parents, that's true.

Other stupid names includes: Sting, The Beatles and The Monkeys
