Why do they always do this shortage of good games then in a space of 2-3months they zerg

how many more times will people make this type of thread? I think this is about the 5th time i've seen a thread about how many games are coming out over the next few months

The only ones out of that list ill be looking at is :

World tour
Fall out 3
Far cry 2
Dead space
Resistance 2.

So i'll have a slightly cheaper time.
 
Ideal timing but I've had £500 in shares come through that I know nothing about...yay. So I'm leaning towards adding a PS3 (own Wii/360 already).

Currently trying to keep the list to the top draw titles only and which for me includes:

Xbox 360
Gear of War 2 - £45 SE pre-order
Fallout 3 £45 SE pre-order
Fable 2 £35 pre-order
Rockband 2

GH:WT - not sure on this, may buy it later on, I preferred RB and the second one has already just received 9/10 in this month's EDGE.
COD5 - Multiplayer beta is a COD4 WW2 modification that I haven't clicked with, so don't know if I'll buy.

Is there anything worth buying other than catching up on classics?

This year's award for the best use of the verb 'to Zerg' goes to Bigpig :D

I've said it before and I'll say it again: pace yourself! Remember that there won't be many games for the rest of the year so spread them out, plus you'll pick up some bargains when they hit the sales after Christmas. Lastly, no one says you have to play them all on release!

I don't know anyone who would buy 12 games over a 2-3 month period to be honest, price (aside). With Jobs/Studies whatever, you would never have time to do 12 games justice in a short period of time, unless you play games A LOT!!!

Mark me words, In January you won't have bought half those titles (whether you have/had the money or not).

I am sure a poll was done at some point, Despite the large everyone gives with these types of threads etc, in the real world people buy probably 1-2 game a month MAXIMUM? (Obviously expect people who have pirated consoles).

Its quite scary how many games come out this time of year, but they wont go away. You can also buy them in the new year, thats what i tend to do, for example I expect fallout 3, it will have to wait for new year as i dont think ill have the time to give it justice.
