Doesn't really matter if the PSU is well-known or not, what you need is decent build-quality. There are plenty of well-known PSU brands that fit turd-cheap components who I wouldn't touch with a bargepole.i know people say buy an well known brand psu but some not so well known brands are really good...
Yup and there are cheaper PSUs that would have taken the rest of your rig with it.also ANY psu can go bang even the well know brands. i had a Corsair TX 650W in my other system and it went pop and took 2 hdds, dvd drive.
why this ^^ ?
why this?
a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...roupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084&name=Corsair TX 650W ATX2.2 SLi Compliant PSU
or http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...roupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084&name=Corsair VX 450W ATX PSU (CMPSU-450VXUK)
would be fine.
people love spending other peoples money.
650W is cheaper than the one u said.?Why does he need the 650W? Then you posted the 450W?
Thats rich , you're posting the more expensive one?![]()
nope look above.Thats rich , you're posting the more expensive one?![]()
650W is cheaper the one u said.
Actually I think it has 2 rails and the OP listed it wrong, more like +12v1 16A and +12v2 12A, giving a grand (in theory) total of approx 300 Watt +12v power (no combined figure given or whether they are only peak).psu 2 would be no good because it only as 16a on +12v
450w is easyly enough. my rig in sig only gets to 325w load..its on the this week only page, thats why.
Recommending a 450W psu isn't good for a system running a flagship graphics card and a multicore CPU. We still don't know what else he's running in the system as he's not posted full specs yet.
its on the this week only page, thats why.
