Critique my car ad ( and other selling questions )

don't know, having one coming knowing that there is another to come puts me in a good bargaining situation but can all go wrong if I hold out for more and don't get it

I paid about 570 for insp 1 and 650 for insp 2

both at authorised dealers

You can more than half that at good specialists, personally if it were me (if i had one and was going to keep it for some time) id prefer to give my local specialist the money, ive known of him for years and my guess is hed do a better job that the YTS lad at the dealer, but it comes down to resale of the car people want the BMW FSH

agree you can and the work may well be better, but the effect on resale value will be much more than the savings made

bloke came this morning, seemed impressed but has others to see and will get back to me

other was supposed to phone to arrange time but never did

Will it still make a huge difference when the car's down to 12k-15k value? I've started taking the Skoda to a specialist, I figure it can only do so much to a car worth 5k or so hehe. Plus Skoda are/can be awful.

Cant belive this has not sold yet rotty. I want a M3 next !!!

Good luck with the sale ....

One came, seemend happy with it but had another to see and was calling me back either way yesterday afternoon, he didn't

other never showed up

Is this the sort of car you can do the service yourself? Or is it the fact it's hard to work on which makes it expensive?

its a dealer job really, the fact that mine has just had biggest service and just needs a 200 quid ( 80 if supply own oil ) minor one in next 22,000 ought to be a big selling point, also has near new tyres on, you would think the fact that it will be almost cost free for next couple of years would really help but seems lost on most folks

Ignoring Fox's good point, Yes, you could service it yourself, but you'd still need a specialist / dealer for some jobs.

When its a good bit older tbh.

It's a buyers market at the moment, the problem you've got is that for £14/15K somebody could walk into a BMW dealer and buy a brand new car and leave £10K in the bank, low payments and a big baloon to finish off.

he rang back and is coming up, he will go to £13k

prob is he wants to pay cash if he wants it but told him can only do that during banking hours and he is on way from Essex, looks like he will have to come back during bank hours if he does want it

I think you may as well call it quits and take his £13K

Really nice car, I'm thinking of selling my Z4 but the dread of the process is putting me off ;)
