FARCRY 2 --- Officially , official of official threads! ---

Not sure if its been mentioned here, but anyone know about a demo on the PC for this? Will there be one? Or haveubi not released anything bout it?

I want it, but I don't really want it if it runs shoody. My PC spec is good enough (Q9550 @ 3.6GHz, 4GB PC2-8500, 4870x2) however I run games at 2560x1600 so its a big ask. Like to try a demo out, if it runs well I'll bag a copy!

So anyone know?

I cant get over how well it runs! All maxxed out, 2xAA, Bloom & HDR at 1650x1080 or whatever it is and it runs smooth as even with my crappy 8800GTS 640!

To be honest the 'crappy' old 8800GTS is still a decent card, i havent bothered upgrading mine as it runs everything smoothly pretty much maxed out at 1650x1080

Agreed. I'm still using that card and have been able run everything (bar Crysis) maxed out.

Still, I wouldn't say no to an upgrade :)

Since my #Winbeta mates in USA have bought the game legitly and its on a DVD-9 and installs to just over 12GB the 3.x GB Warez Version seems ripped or some crap other than the BS claims its smaller as only contains ENG as the USA versions are also always only ENG.

Story is its a Promo/Tester pack with 4 missions/Levels.

“Since we first began working on Far Cry 2 in early 2005, we have used GeForce GPU’s to develop the game and worked closely with NVIDIA’s excellent engineers. While Far Cry 2 represents an outstanding PC gaming experience for a wide range of systems, GeForce users can expect to enjoy the game quite literally ‘The Way It Was Meant To Be Played’.” - Louis-Pierre Pharand, Ubisoft, Far Cry 2 Producer

Anyone tried these drivers yet?
