PES 2009 - Game Discussion Thread

Yep just bought it now, I set up an AMF as well. I hate being left out ;)

Took a bag full of old games in store and walked out with evo for a £10. Old PS2 games that I couldn't be bothered to ebay.

What skill level did you start at?

you can't I don't think, you have to start again. (Maybe in close season actually like master league)

Not that it matters, you can still use your player created on easy with ours created on top in MP games as they are effectively exhibition matches.
 
Yeah I imagine you can change it like the ML. I can't believe you would be stuck on it. I suppose it lets my player catch up a bit with yours.

Just got to get out of the habit of using RT to run.
 
Wouldn't worry about level of player too much, Si has only just completed 1st season, I'm only half way through second, Faded is jumping ahead having spent all day today on it and finished his 3rd.

but in terms of stats they are not really much different.

You would fit nicley into our midfield 3 some sitting behind Si (or Mr. Offside as we like to call him)
 
You know I should have stuck by what i said after playing both demo's this year and not got either.

I've tried both now and still prefer PES06.
 
Any tips on scoring. I only ever seem to score from crosses and generally can't get a decent shot off in open play.

Missing last year because of that rubbish 2008 has done my game no good!
 
Had my first online game and what a load of crap tbh.

It took about 5 attempts to actually get in (after going through the nonsense of signing up for Konami ID) got a game with both of us yellow connections. The game felt a little laggy but nothing too bad but what I did notice is that it is almost impossible to tackle at times.

The guy I was playing set up a real weird formation with basically no-one upfront and would constantly just run the ball. I had 4 guys around him sometimes and if he had a certain players on the ball it was impossible to tackle.

Ive noticed the speed seems to be ramped from the demo and it played almost exactly like 08 with there being nopoint in build up play, timing the balls through etc. it would just be get your quickest player on the ball run, run run.

On the demo it seemed much easier to tackle and their didnt seem to be any "superman" players, if say the attacker got past 2 men the defenders seemed to quicken up (like the attacker getting tired)

1st online game so I hope maybe it was just connection making it hard to tackle better try a green one next time.
