yeah exactly, i wish rock band was like this, not that rock band doesnt have decent songs but the trouble with rock band is it has to many rock songs(yeah i know lol) that are cack, it should just have normal songs like this.
 
Thats not bad actually, far better than Singstars track listing on the disc, I just hope they get the DLC to support it. Nice to see some rock tracks instead of just pop crap.

Why do you need DLC? I thought the whole point is with LIPS you can use your own MP3s. I guess the track's on the disc are just so you think you get good value. The real value is you can use any tracks on your 360!!

Hmmm, didn't think about that, I just assumed there is some sort of database out on the internet it uses. Just like you get cddb that can be queried and various mp3 tag databases, just assumed something similar for the lyrics tag I see in mp3 files.

according to the first trailer you need to have the lyrics in the ID3 tag of your own songs.

its right at the end of the trailer in really small writing.

According to what i have read on this, you can use your own music as long as its DRM free, it then cuts the vocal track out. There is no lyrics and has some kind of random video playing in the background. Not as cool as i thought it was going to be TBH, im sure PS2 singstar did this, but the PS2 version prob wasnt as good at removing the vocal track.

And these are easy to get on the internet using some sort of reliable automated database? Annoyingly I just recently corrected all tags on all my mp3s but left all lyrics fields blank, the odd one was populated but was all in crap unformatted text so I deleted it.
