Aftermarket Cooler

I've been looking to buy a 4870X2. but the thing that's been putting me off is that the fan on it is LOUD. Is there no good after market cooler avaible for it?

Further more, or even better, isnt there a board partner who fits a better cooler than the normal one sold? This would be advantageous since I wouldn't be voiding my warantee fitting an after market cooler.

If not, I'm going to have to defect to the inferior Nvidia products.

That won't fit an x2. I don't think there are any aftermarket coolers for x2's yet.

Not yet, but I am looking for one. The prices seem to be very high for ATi's products at the moment tho. Things should change shortly when the GTX 290 is out.

Is the GTX 290 just a die shrink?

actually, thermalright have added the x2 to the compatability list for the t-rad2 with a 'conditional' note

maybe email them to find out which cards it can fit



actually, just had a look at the bare card, you'd need a second cooler on the other gpu, lol
