ok here goes the time line, march dentist wanted to put a filling ( my 1st every filling)in my baby tooth, i asked her could i have a white filling, she said no the hole she needed to drill was to big.
All the time she said i had good teeth, and never once she educated me about signs of tooth decay etc..

2nd issue been seeing that dentist for 4 years, going every 6 months a few weeks ago i had a massive pain on my 2nd molar after running to guys dental hospital, they said it had to be removed because the decay was under the gum line, ( doctor said its been there for at least 2 years) i asked again is there any way i could fix it again i was told no, so i had an extraction. i did say to the dentist i had some bleeding gums last year she just gave me antibiotics and didnt take it further.

i've kept the tooth and started to see a new dentist, this guy said he could have fixed it, going to start to see a hygenist every 6 months now, and going to another dentist too show him that tooth.

Now i've been depressed because i lost my back molar and have a filling at the age of 35.
Another point ive learned never ever take one dentists advice always get another dentist too look at it. every time i go to one dentist iam going to another the week after for "just in case".

what do you think my possibilites are.

Oh for god sake, get a grip and stop being part of this ridiculous "sue sue sue, claim claim claim" culture.

I think it's ridiculous feeling depressed about having a filling and a missing molar.
I had to have 4 teeth removed due to a cyst which was about to break my jaw but i didn't cry about it.

You still have baby teeth at 35?? Or have I misundestood?

Either way, as said above, it's just a tooth, get over it..

You still have your baby teeth at 35?

And you still need to be " educated about signs of tooth decay " at 35?

Are you mentally handicappedby any chance?

or did mum and dad not teach you how to brush your teeth

btw ive been doing some research and found the new breed of tooth pastes can actuall repair enamel, it seems to me uk dentists seem to like filling peoples teeth, and american friend of mine asked a few questions on my behalflast week, and i was surprised about the answer, he recomended brushing with toothpaste with novamin, he also told me about a new tooth paste in japan APAGARD Royal that does heal holes in teeth.

Its a ******* tooth... get on with your life.

If you seriously got depressed for having a tooth out then I hope you never recieve actual bad news as you may want to put youself on suicide watch should you get overcharged by your milkman, get woken up by the binmen etc.

there are stages of tooth decay soft, white then black, never was told about tooth going white.

Move to America then.

So if a dentist never points it out, about aspects of you teeth then whats the point of going, the point for me going is preventative if there are small signs then it can be repaired with out fillings.
If a dentist doesnt point them out in order to for you to take measures then whats the point of seeing one.

Having a filling in your teeth means your tooth is dying and only a matter of time before you lose it. spoke to another guy he lost 2 teeth with that dentist and moved onto another dentist as he said he never got any feed back about his teeth. Dentist always said "your teeth are in good shape" yet he lost two and was never given any advice about the state of his teeth but they look good.

You have a filling, big deal! I have one, got it at the age of 21, my life isnt affected, why should yours be? Jeez

You what? My parents have had fillings for 40 years, still got their teeth. Who are you taking your dental advice from?!

Yes, but you see, if you clean your ****ing teeth you never get this horrible decay...

How the **** do yo have a baby tooth at 35? It should have worn away long ago...

NHS dentists would rather just extract a tooth, they get the same amount amount of "points" (UDA) for spending 30 mins extracting it (no aftercare) as they do for spending up to 2 hours doing root canal.
