PS3 trophies for GTAIV coming Monday 27.10.2008

Just had an email from rockstar confirming this. Looking forward to playing it through again now... I might well have another crack at getting 100% completion as last time I tried I just couldn't find the last bloody pigeon or unique stunt jump!!!!
 
Ah - i was wondering about this just last week. Looks like I'll be having another stab - but can I be bothered to start again though :confused:

It's fail for you then unfortunately, they wouldn't make them retroactive as it's one of those games where you can borrow your mates/some dude off the internets 100% save. If they did that would be an instant platinum for anyone who could be bothered.

Not really, I bought it for Xbox for the DLC. I just find it disapointing to find that they can't work out if the save game was created on the console or not. I'm sure there's thousands of people that worked hard to get 100% only to have to do it again.
 
If it was retroactive then if you have already completed the required task to achieve a trophy previous to the patch it will give you the trophy straight away upon installation of the patch. So basically, because it is not retroactive, you have to play through the game again to get any trophies. Makes sense to me.

It means will the trophies apply to old savegames, as in if you've already got all the pigeons etc it'll just automatically reward you all of the trophies. Unfortunately as game saves could be copied to other PS3s this won't be happening as you could just download someone elses' 100% game save of the net.

Oh, sounds fair enough though!

Plus it's more of a reason to replay and get that second ending.
 
Such a shame they arnt retroactive.

Luckily I only completed the story any way, but I'll probably go through and do ti again

for those who have completed the game story in less than 30 hours. As the Social Club's Story Gang leaderboard can attest, this is not an easy feat.

Yep the 360 has those.

I really enjoyed getting the one man army.

I shot some dude driving a boat in the head, swam over, got in and went over to an island that I had not unlocked, then got chased by what seemed hundreds of cops through the Manhattan streets :D

Great fun, how anyone can not like this is game is beyond me, the story line is fantastic and always something to do.
 
Hmmm, I thought with Burnout Paradise that I would not play it again when that got Trophies but I did it anyway, I guess I will play GTA IV again as well.

A quick google lookup gave me this list:
