Russell Brand has apologised for offending Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs during a prank on his Saturday night BBC Radio 2 programme.

The actor's agent said Sachs was "very upset" after Brand and guest Jonathan Ross left lewd messages on his answer phone which were aired on 18 October.

Listened to this show when it was first broadcast. I must admit I did think they'd overstepped the mark.
I used to like Ross but I'm getting very bored by him and his juvenile behaviour.

I'm still kind of unsure about Brand. I did find his comments over in America quite funny, but there's pushing boundaries and then there's just being a moron.

Needs a haircut too lol.

This is a prank too far, I hope that Brand and Ross are also made to apologise to Sachs both on their shows and in writing.

Ross is the one who needs to be hounded about this. Brand seems happy to admit his mistakes and no-one thinks he is anymore than he is. Ross on the other hand plays at being a serious journalist and TV host, gets paid millions, and then does this sort of sickening act. We should expect more of him. Shame.

Not the first time Brand has been a complete ****ing idiot, there was the time when he reported an assault on a live show to the police as a prank, and wasted the emergency services' time. He needs to be dropped like a hot potato.

I can't stand Brand, I don't find him funny and it seems every woman on the planet wants to sleep with him.

Wonder what messages they left.

About as funny as Aids.

You can listen to them here -
, and here -
.

I listened to the first five minutes or so and think you're being a little harsh - AIDS is far funnier than Brand and Ross. A dictionary definition of the two might be "contemptibly inadequate".
