*** Red Alert 3 ***

I would like ot see a supreme commander engine based WW2 shooter. like the whole of french bieng done in epic scale with WW2 units

There really hasn't been much fuss made about this game considering it's the return of an established franchise and the only big strategy game launching this year.

I just hope the MP isn't as dull as C&C3.

Just been on the official EA forums and it seems people are talking about the game now only supporting 6 players in multiplayer :( So much for 8 player FFA madness! Anyone else heard of it? Seems the game is out in Singapore today!

Well if the netcode is as shoddy as C&C3 then maybe this a good thing. In 8 player games there was always some idiot trying to run it on ultra high on their beastly pentium 2, making it unplayable for everyone else.

That was me I joined 8 player games for fun.

I'm gonna go to this:

Yep, I got so frustrated by those DRM complaint spammers that I almost made a thread about it.

AFAIK:
You can activate it on 5 machines.
An activation can be deactivated by uninstalling the game - so you always have 5 activations.
You can play without the disc
We buyers are NOT getting an inferior product, because we can play online.

:)

I think I'm going to get this game. I've been gagging for a decent classic style RTS for ages.

PS: I don't know who Gemma Atkinson is, but she is one pretty lady!

yeah me too they are causing lots of buzz for nothing and discouraging potential buyers. i mean we all know that drm is here to stay. someone can say "well i'm not buying the game, i'll pirate it" and if most of the people think like that developers are just not going to bother with pc games, they can make all the money they want from consoles. its already happening and stuff like these can only make things worse.

Stardock say otherwise.

Are there any potential hardcore players here? It would be nice to have a partner in crime, making a doubles team.

It's not that kind of game, you can't really take it seriously online. I'll be getting it to play with my flatmates though, nothing like a bit of backstabbing to give you a break from swearing at Mario Kart.

From the videos I've seen it looks as if the online play is very competitive.
