BBC Issue apology over Ross/Brand 'Prank'

Just a guess but probably because you have never given him a chance. He is a very intelligent ex-junkie scruff-muppet and has a very large fan base.

He may have a very large fan-base (although I've see no evidence of it), but I think it's pushing it to describe him as 'very intelligent'. Pseudo-intelligent, perhaps.

It might be offensive to the him and his grand daughter, but why BBC recieved 1500 complaints is beyond me. Its nothing to do with any of those people why do they feel it necessary to poke their noses in? People actually spent many minutes of their lives concocting letters to the BBC about how they felt it was wrong.. why oh why!

It was a great show and he's a very funny bloke. i've been listening for a good few years and he's easily the best radio personality on air (after Matt Morgan).

And for people who are seemingly confused as to why he's on air. It's because he gets loads of listeners so clearly many people like him, I thought that would be obvious.

More importantly why can't Brand and Matt Morgan make up and get him back on the show!!! :( It's not the same without Morgan!

The public need to be aware of what a tool he is.

This apology is rather funny... when they start slating the Daily Mail

"To the Daily Mail, I'd like to point out I hate ethnic minorities"...."they should like that, right?"

Hah yeah I lol'd at that.... but back to the original point...

roid - do you have no idea of how the BBC works? We actually pay for these idiots - and I assume, what they did, was also illegal. If you had some randomers leave a tirade of abuse and general nonsense on your answerphone you would phone the police.

It p's me off though, why should we pay for them (a PUBLIC sector company) encouraging that kind of behaviour? Slightly ironic.

They and their bosses should be sacked and prosecuted (if they committed an offence) tbh.

Russell Brands radio show is hilarious and I found the prank hilarious too.
If your talking about terminating contracts start off with Chris Moyles and then Scott Mills and then work your way from there.

It is when their (and thus my) TV licence is paying for this idiot.

Brand is annoying, I don't see how he can be funny to people, unless they think shouting makes jokes funnier.

Should we get the BBC to run every single show past you first to make sure it meets your approval?

My license fee pays for a lot of stuff I don't like either, but I am willing to accept not everyone has the same tastes as each other.

Personally I'd like to "coil one off" and smear it under the door handles of jonathan ross's car and video his reaction from up the street when he and his wife try and get in. Oh what japes. I'm sure a man with his sense of humour would see the funny side.
