Rather be - Blind or deaf?

Ive spoke to a few people about this. What would you rather be, blind or deaf. Now some people say blind some people say deaf. For me, id rather me Deaf 100% .. Hopefully we can start a lil debate going.

As much as I love music, leading a semi-normal life as a deaf person is much easier than a blind one.

TV with sing language or subtitles, gaming, general internet usage, all can still be done when deaf.

I think i would be deaf. Being blind is more of a burden and makes life much harder than being deaf.

Definitely deaf- Your eyesight is much more important and you use it more, also i wouldnt be able to see the fit birds like init.

Been blind; don't want to do it again. However, communicating would be easier if you were blind rather than deaf.

What a choice, not being able to enjoy music, sounds, speech or not being able to see and enjoy the world around you. I would choose being deaf.

Can you imagine being both?

If you were blind wouldn't killing yourself be much more difficult?

I imagine that most blind people have regular carers and have their homes altered to protect them from accidental harm, so committing suicide would actually be very difficult. Having said that, if I was blind I am pretty sure I would try to kill myself, though it is almost impossible for me to say because I am not in that horrible situation.

On topic I would 100% rather be deaf out of the two, though I am hoping neither ever happens to me!

Would be deaf though, not because of that, just because you can do more stuff. Not that it is good but being blind is really bad.

Feel sorry for anyone with either.

Weird you posted this, was only talking to some friends about this very topic yesterday!

My conclusion was that I'd rather be deaf, I can always learn to lip read! Being blind would scare me to death
